Rs 1 lakh crore special fund for research and development - PM Modi announced
- The Prime Minister made this announcement at the first Emerging Science Technology and Innovation Summit, which will bring together policymakers, innovators and world leaders to move towards the goal of a developed India.
- The Ministry of Science and Technology will act as the central ministry of this RTI fund. A total of Rs 1 lakh crore has been allocated for this scheme over 6 years. Out of this, Rs 20 thousand crore has been allocated for the financial year.
