• ரமோன் மகசேசே விருது 2025 / RAMON MAGSAYSAY AWARD 2025: ஆசியாவில் மக்களுக்கு தன்னலமற்ற பொதுச்சேவைகள் வழங்குவோரை அங்கீகரிக்கும் வகையில் ஆண்டுதோறும் தனிநபர்கள் அல்லது நிறுவனங்கள் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டு அவர்களுக்கு ‘ரமோன் மகசேசே’ விருதளித்து கௌரவிக்கப்படுகிறது. 
• நோபல் பரிசுக்கு இணையாக ஆசியாவில் வழங்கப்படும் விருதாக ரமோன் மகசேசே விருது கருதப்படுகிறது. அந்த வகையில், 67-ஆம் ஆண்டாக ரமோன் மகசேசே விருதளிப்பு விழாவானது பிலிப்பின்ஸ் தலைநகர் மணிலாவில் நவ. 7-இல் நடைபெற உள்ளது. 
• இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில் இந்தியாவைச் சேர்ந்த தொண்டு நிறுவனமான ‘எஜுகேட் கேர்ல்ஸ் (பெண்களுக்கு கல்வி கொடுங்கள்)’ நிறுவனத்துக்கு இந்தாண்டுக்கான ரமோன் மகசேசே விருது வழங்கப்பட உள்ளதாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• கடந்த 2007-இல் சஃபீனா ஹுசைனின் முயற்சியால் லாப நோக்கமில்லா கண்ணோட்டத்துடன் நிறுவப்பட்ட என்ஜிஓ நிறுவனமான ‘எஜுகேட் கேர்ள்ஸ்’, உலகளவில் பெண் கல்வியின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை ஊக்குவிக்க திறம்படச் செயலாற்றி வருகிறது. 
• அந்நிறுவனத்தின் சீரிய முயற்சியால் 30,000-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட கிராமங்களில் 55,000-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட தன்னார்வலர்களுடன் 20 லட்சத்துக்கும் மேற்பட்ட பெண் குழந்தைகளும் சிறுமிகளும் கல்வி பயின்று ஒளிமயமான எதிர்காலத்தை அமைக்க உதவியுள்ளது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
• இந்தியாவைச் சேர்ந்த ஒரு என்ஜிஓ நிறுவனம் ரமோன் மகசேசே விருதுக்கு தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டிருப்பது இதுவே முதன்முறையாகும். அதற்கான முழுப்பெருமையும் சஃபீனா ஹுசைனுக்கே.

• RAMON MAGSAYSAY AWARD 2025: In Asia, individuals or organizations are selected annually to recognize those who provide selfless public services to the people and are honored with the ‘Ramon Magsaysay’ award. The Ramon Magsaysay Award is considered to be the award given in Asia on par with the Nobel Prize.
• In that regard, the 67th Ramon Magsaysay Award ceremony will be held in the Philippines capital Manila on Nov. 7. At this event, it has been announced that this year’s Ramon Magsaysay Award will be given to the Indian charity ‘Educate Girls’.
• ‘Educate Girls’, an NGO founded with a non-profit perspective in 2007 by the efforts of Safina Hussain, is working effectively to promote the importance of girls’ education worldwide. 
• It is noteworthy that the organization's dedicated efforts have helped more than 2 million girls and boys in more than 30,000 villages, with more than 55,000 volunteers, to get an education and build a brighter future. 
• This is the first time that an NGO from India has been selected for the Ramon Magsaysay Award. The entire credit for this goes to Safina Hussain.
