Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba Resigns
- The current Prime Minister of Japan is Shigeru Ishiba. He is a member of the Liberal Democratic Party. The party suffered a defeat in the upper house elections held in July this year. As a result, the ruling party lost its majority.
- Some party executives have started calling for the Prime Minister to take responsibility for this and resign. He has now resigned on his own accord.
