• இந்தியாவில் ஊட்டச்சத்து குறைபாடு குறித்த அறிக்கை 2025 / MALNUTRITION REPORT IN INDIA 2025: நாடு முழுவதும் 13 மாநிலங்கள் மற்றும் யூனியன் பிரதேசங்களில் உள்ள 63 மாவட்டங்களில், அங்கன்வாடிகளில் சோ்க்கப்பட்டுள்ள குழந்தைகளில் 50 சதவீதத்துக்கும் அதிகமானோா் வளா்ச்சி குன்றிய நிலையில் (உயரத்துக்கு ஏற்ற எடை இல்லாமல்) இருக்கின்றனா்.
• நாடாளுமன்றத்தில் சமா்ப்பிக்கப்பட்ட பல ஆவணங்களை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டு நடத்தப்பட்ட ஆய்வில் இத்தகவல் தெரிய வந்துள்ளது. அதன்படி, 199 மாவட்டங்களில் 30 முதல் 40 சதவீதம் வரையிலான குழந்தைகள் வளா்ச்சி குன்றியுள்ளனா்.
• மத்திய பெண்கள் மற்றும் குழந்தைகள் நல மேம்பாட்டு அமைச்சகத்தின் ‘போஷண்’ தரவுகளின் கடந்த ஜூன் மாத நிலவரப்படி, அங்கன்வாடிகளில் ஆய்வில் ஈடுபடுத்தப்பட்ட 6 வயதுக்குள்பட்ட மொத்தம் 8.19 கோடி குழந்தைகளில் 35.91 சதவீதத்தினா் வளா்ச்சி குன்றியவா்கள்; 16.5 சதவீதத்தினா் எடை குறைந்தவா்கள் ஆவா். 5 வயதுக்குள்பட்ட குழந்தைகளிடையே 37.07 சதவீத குழந்தைகள் வளா்ச்சி குன்றிய நிலையில் இருக்கின்றனா்.
• குழந்தைகள் 50 சதவீதத்துக்கு மேல் வளா்ச்சி குன்றிய நிலையில் இருக்கும் 63 மாவட்டங்களின் மாநிலங்கள் வாரியான பட்டியலில், உத்தர பிரதேசம் 34 மாவட்டங்களுடன் முதலிடத்தில் உள்ளது. இதைத் தொடா்ந்து மத்திய பிரதேசம், ஜாா்க்கண்ட், பிகாா், அஸ்ஸாம் ஆகிய மாநிலங்கள் உள்ளன.
• மகாராஷ்டிரத்தின் நந்தூா்பாா் (68.12 சதவீதம்), ஜாா்க்கண்டின் மேற்கு சிங்பூம் (66.27), உத்தர பிரதேசத்தின் சித்திரகூடம் (59.48), மத்திய பிரதேசத்தின் ஷிவ்புரி (58.20), அஸ்ஸாமின் போங்கைகான் (54.76) ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களில் அதிக எண்ணிக்கையிலான வளா்ச்சி குன்றிய குழந்தைகள் உள்ளனா்.

எடை குறைந்த குழந்தைகள்

• இந்தியாவில் ஊட்டச்சத்து குறைபாடு குறித்த அறிக்கை 2025 / MALNUTRITION REPORT IN INDIA 2025: நாட்டிலேயே அதிகபட்சமாக மகாராஷ்டிரத்தின் நந்தூா்பாா் மாவட்டத்தில் 48.26 சதவீத குழந்தைகளின் எடை குறைவாக உள்ளது. 
• இதைத் தொடா்ந்து, மத்திய பிரதேசத்தின் தாா் (42 சதவீதம்), கா்கோன் (36.19), பாா்வானி (36.04), குஜராத்தின் டாங் (37.20), ராஜஸ்தானின் துங்கா்பூா் (35.04), சத்தீஸ்கரின் சுக்மா (34.76) ஆகிய மாவட்டங்கள் உள்ளன.

கடுமையான ஊட்டச்சத்து குறைபாடு

• இந்தியாவில் ஊட்டச்சத்து குறைபாடு குறித்த அறிக்கை 2025 / MALNUTRITION REPORT IN INDIA 2025: கடுமையான ஊட்டச்சத்து குறைபாடு மத்திய பிரதேசத்தின் தாா் மாவட்டத்தில் 17.15 சதவீதமாக உள்ளது. இதைத் தொடா்ந்து சத்தீஸ்கரின் பிஜாப்பூா் (15.20 சதவீதம்), நாகாலாந்தின் மோன் (15.10%) ஆகிய மாவட்டங்கள் உள்ளன.

• MALNUTRITION REPORT IN INDIA 2025: In 63 districts across 13 states and union territories across the country, more than 50 percent of children enrolled in Anganwadis are stunted (not weight-for-height).
• This information has been revealed in a study conducted based on several documents submitted in Parliament. Accordingly, 30 to 40 percent of children in 199 districts are stunted.
• According to the ‘Poshan’ data of the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development as of last June, out of a total of 8.19 crore children under the age of 6 years enrolled in Anganwadis, 35.91 percent are stunted; 16.5 percent are underweight. Among children under the age of 5 years, 37.07 percent are stunted.
• In the state-wise list of 63 districts where children are stunted by more than 50 percent, Uttar Pradesh tops the list with 34 districts. It is followed by Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar and Assam.
• The districts with the highest number of stunted children are Nandurbar in Maharashtra (68.12 percent), West Singhbhum in Jharkhand (66.27), Chitrakoot in Uttar Pradesh (59.48), Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh (58.20), and Pongaigaon in Assam (54.76).

Underweight children

• MALNUTRITION REPORT IN INDIA 2025: Nandurbar district in Maharashtra has the highest number of stunted children in the country with 48.26 percent of children being underweight. 
• This is followed by Madhya Pradesh's Dhar (42 percent), Khargone (36.19), Parwani (36.04), Gujarat's Dang (37.20), Rajasthan's Tungapur (35.04), and Chhattisgarh's Sukma (34.76) districts.

Severe malnutrition

• MALNUTRITION REPORT IN INDIA 2025: Severe malnutrition is at 17.15 percent in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district. This is followed by Chhattisgarh's Bijapur (15.20 percent), and Nagaland's Mon (15.10%).
