IFS officer appointed as PM Modi's private secretary
- Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer Nidhi Tiwari has been appointed as the new private secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The appointment, approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, was officially announced by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) today.
- Accordingly, Tiwari will assume new responsibilities in the Prime Minister's Office from his current post, as per an order dated March 29. His tenure will be linked to the tenure of the current administration or till further orders, it has been informed.
- Prime Minister Modi already has two private secretaries, Vivek Kumar and Hardik Satishchandra Shah.
