Bhattacharya appointed as RBI's Executive Director
- Indranil Bhattacharya has been appointed as the Executive Director of the Reserve Bank of India. The appointment is effective from March 19. He will look after the Department of Economics and Policy Research, the Reserve Bank said in a statement.
- Before being promoted to the post of Enforcement Officer, Indranil Bhattacharya worked as an advisor in the Department of Monetary Policy of the Reserve Bank.
- He also worked as an economist in the Technical Office of the Governor of the Central Bank of Qatar for 5 years (2009-14). Bhattacharya holds a Masters in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University.
