Chief Minister M.K. Stalin launched the Kalaignar Karuvoolam special website and released the Sangha Tamil calendar
- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin today (4.2.2025) launched the Kalaignar Karuvoolam special website (https://www.tamildigitallibrary.in/kalaignar) developed by the Tamil Online Education Institute operating under the Department of Information Technology and Digital Services at the Secretariat and released the Sangha Tamil calendar.
- As a result of the “Tamilinaiyam 99” conference organized by Muthamilarignar Kalaignar, the Tamil Online Education Institute was formed on 17.02.2001 under the Department of Information Technology and Digital Services to spread the Tamil language of Demadurath worldwide.
- The institute teaches Tamil to more than 18 thousand children online through 181 contact centers in 39 countries and also carries out research and development work related to Mathematical Tamil.
- Furthermore, with the aim of generalizing knowledge, the Tamil Digital Library (https://www.tamildigitallibrary.in) has been created and has uploaded more than 1 lakh books, periodicals and more than 8 lakh manuscript pages in various categories including Tamil language, literature, history, culture and science, and is providing a free service for the use of Tamil enthusiasts, researchers and students living all over the world.
- The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister released the Sangam Tamil Calendar, which has been prepared by selecting 366 songs, including 141 external songs highlighting academic excellence, and 14 songs related to internal and external, and drawing them as paintings, with explanatory notes and English translations. The paintings for these songs were drawn by school and college students and artists.
- This Sangam Tamil Calendar is suitable for use in all years (Infinity Calendar). It has been designed by mentioning only English dates.
- This Sangathamizh calendar, which reminds us of the unique heritage of the Tamil community, has been created by the Tamil Online Education Institute with the financial support of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO) and the Tamil Nadu State Industrial Development Corporation (SIPCOT).
- Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the 2-day Tamil Nadu Climate Change Summit on behalf of the Environment and Climate Change Department. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said that "the conference is an attempt to reduce the impacts of climate change" and awareness regarding climate change is very necessary.
- It has been decided to take climate education knowledge forward as a movement. We must become a society that cares about protecting natural resources. Training will be provided to the agriculture and water resources departments to face climate change. A climate policy will be compiled and published.
- Environment forums will be set up in all schools in Tamil Nadu. He said that Tamil Nadu is the only state in India to hold a conference to study climate change.
