• குடும்ப நுகர்வு செலவினங்கள் குறித்து கணக்கெடுப்பு 2023 - 2024 / HOUSEHOLD CONSUMPTION EXPENDITURE SURVEY 2023 - 2024: கொரோனா பெருந்தொற்றுப் பரவலுக்கு பின்னர் இயல்பு நிலைமை திரும்பியுள்ள நிலையில், குடும்ப நுகர்வு செலவினங்கள் குறித்து கணக்கெடுப்புகளை நடத்த மத்திய புள்ளியியல் மற்றும் திட்ட அமலாக்க அமைச்சகம் முடிவு செய்தது. 
• இதன் அடிப்படையில் முதல் கணக்கெடுப்பு 2022 ஆகஸ்ட் மாதம் முதல் 2023 ஜூலை மாதம் வரை நடத்தப்பட்டது. இதன் முடிவுகள் 2024-ம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி மாதத்தில் வெளியிடப்பட்டது.

• குடும்ப நுகர்வு செலவினங்கள் குறித்து கணக்கெடுப்பு 2023 - 2024 / HOUSEHOLD CONSUMPTION EXPENDITURE SURVEY 2023 - 2024: 2023-24-ம் ஆண்டில் நாட்டில் கிராமப்புற, நகர்ப்புற பகுதிகளில் குடும்ப நுகர்வு மாதாந்திர செலவினத் தொகை சராசரியாக முறையே ரூ.4,122, ரூ.6,996 என்று மதிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. பல்வேறு சமூக நலத் திட்டங்கள் மூலம் குடும்பங்களால் இலவசமாகப் பெறப்பட்ட பொருட்களின் மதிப்புகள் இதில் சேர்த்துக் கொள்ளப்படவில்லை.
• பல்வேறு சமூக நலத் திட்டங்களின் மூலம் இலவசமாகப் பெறப்படும் பொருட்களின் மதிப்புகளைக் கருத்தில் கொண்டு, பார்க்கும்போது இந்த மதிப்பீடுகள் ஊரக, நகர்ப்புறங்களில் முறையே ரூ.4,247, ரூ.7,078 ஆக உள்ளது.
• 2023-24-ம் ஆண்டு மாதாந்திர தனிநபர் குடும்பச் செலவு 9 சதவீதமும், நகர்ப்புறங்களில் 8 சதவீதமும் அதிகரித்துள்ளது.
• மாதாந்திர தனிநபர் குடும்பச் செலவிற்கான நகர்ப்புற-கிராமப்புற இடைவெளி 2011-12-ம் ஆண்டில் 84% ஆக இருந்தது. இது 2022-23-ம் ஆண்டில் 71% ஆகவும், 2023-24-ம் ஆண்டில் 70% ஆகவும் குறைந்துள்ளது.
• 2023-24-ம் ஆண்டில் கிராமப்புற, நகர்ப்புற குடும்பங்களின் உணவுப் பொருட்கள் தொகுப்பில் பானங்கள், சிற்றுண்டிகள், பதப்படுத்தப்பட்ட உணவு ஆகியவை முக்கிய செலவினமாக உள்ளன.
• போக்குவரத்து வசதி, உடை, படுக்கை, காலணி, இதர பொருட்கள், பொழுதுபோக்கு, நீடித்து உழைக்கும் பொருட்கள் ஆகியவை கிராமப்புற, நகர்ப்புற பகுதிகளில் உள்ள குடும்பங்களின் உணவு அல்லாத செலவினங்களில் பெரும்பங்கு வகிக்கின்றன.
• வீட்டு வாடகை, வாகனம் நிறுத்துமிட வாடகை, உணவகம், தங்குமிட கட்டணம் ஆகியவற்றை உள்ளடக்கிய வாடகைப்பிரிவு சுமார் 7% பங்களிப்புடன் நகர்ப்புற குடும்பங்களின் உணவு அல்லாத செலவினங்களின் மற்றொரு முக்கிய அங்கமாக உள்ளது.
• கிராமப்புற, நகர்ப்புறங்களில் நுகர்வு சமத்துவமின்மை 2022-23-ம் ஆண்டில் இருந்ததைக் காட்டிலும் 2023-24-ம் ஆண்டில் குறைந்துள்ளது.

• HOUSEHOLD CONSUMPTION EXPENDITURE SURVEY 2023 - 2024: With the situation returning to normal after the spread of the Corona pandemic, the Union Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation decided to conduct a survey on household consumption expenditure. 
• Based on this, the first survey was conducted from August 2022 to July 2023. The results of this were released in February 2024.
• This was followed by the second survey from August 2023 to July 2024. The details of this have been uploaded on the website of the ministry (https://www.mospi.gov.in). 
• The Household Consumption Expenditure Survey is designed to collect data on the consumption and expenditure of goods and services by households. The data collected through this survey provides an understanding of consumption, spending patterns, quality of life and well-being of households.

Key highlights of the Household Consumption Expenditure Survey for the year 2023-24

• HOUSEHOLD CONSUMPTION EXPENDITURE SURVEY 2023 - 2024: The average monthly household consumption expenditure in rural and urban areas of the country in 2023-24 is estimated to be Rs. 4,122 and Rs. 6,996 respectively. This does not include the values ​​of goods received free of cost by households under various social welfare schemes.
• Considering the values ​​of goods received free of cost through various social welfare schemes, these estimates are Rs. 4,247 and Rs. 7,078 in rural and urban areas respectively.
• Monthly per capita household expenditure increased by 9 per cent and 8 per cent in urban areas in 2023-24.
• The urban-rural gap in monthly per capita household expenditure was 84% ​​in 2011-12. This has decreased to 71% in 2022-23 and 70% in 2023-24.
• Beverages, snacks and processed food are the major expenditure items in the food basket of rural and urban households in 2023-24.
• Transportation, clothing, bedding, footwear, miscellaneous items, entertainment and durable goods account for the major share of non-food expenditure of households in both rural and urban areas.
• The rental category, which includes house rent, parking space rent, restaurant and accommodation charges, is another major component of non-food expenditure of urban households with a contribution of about 7%.
• Consumption inequality between rural and urban areas has decreased in 2023-24 compared to 2022-23.
