Chief Minister M.K. Stalin released a special wreath on the silver jubilee of the Thiruvalluvar statue
- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin today (31.12.2024) inaugurated an exhibition of Thirukkural manuscripts, books, e-books and a photo exhibition on the Thiruvalluvar statue at the silver jubilee of the Ayyan Thiruvalluvar statue at Kumari Point, which is surrounded by three seas, in Kanyakumari. He also released a special wreath on the silver jubilee of the Ayyan Thiruvalluvar statue prepared by the Department of Information and Public Relations.
- He also inaugurated the Ayyan Thiruvalluvar Transport Island Park, renovated at a cost of Rs. 44 lakhs in the Kanyakumari Municipal Corporation, laid the foundation stone for the Ayyan Thiruvalluvar Thiruvuruva Shilai Silver Jubilee Arch, which will be built at a cost of Rs. 1.45 crores, named the Kanyakumari Beach Road as Ayyan Thiruvalluvar Road, and presented prizes to the students who won Thirukkural-related competitions.
- The PSLV C-60 rocket was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, at 10:15 pm on December 30th, after it was announced that it would be launched at 9:58 pm.
- It is noteworthy that this rocket also carried research instruments that will operate as part of the Gaganyaan project. The PSLV C-60 rocket launched under the SPEDEX program has a total of 24 research instruments.
- The research instruments are placed in the 4th stage of the rocket called Boyam-4. The SPEDEX program is being carried out in collaboration with other companies. Out of these, 14 research instruments were manufactured by ISRO.
- ISRO has said that some educational institutions and private companies have developed the remaining 10 instruments. The PSLV C-60 rocket carries instruments for space research in many fields including robotics, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology.
- In particular, the possibility of growing plants in space is also being studied. The project also includes instruments that can be used in mobile network technology. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has planned an Indian research center called Bharatiya Antarksha Station in space by 2035.
- As part of this, ISRO has now begun the work of assembling spacecraft in space under the SpaceX program. ISRO also reported that within minutes of the rocket launch, the SpaceX spacecraft were successfully positioned in different orbits at a distance of 470 kilometers from Earth.
