Round ceramic beads discovered in Vembakkottai Phase 3 excavation
- 16 pits were excavated in the third phase of excavation at Vijaya Karisalkulam near Vembakkottai in Virudhunagar district, and more than 2850 objects including broken clay figurines, glass beads, conch bracelets, round chips, and gold beads have been found so far.
- In this situation, a round ceramic bead called Beyans, oblong round beads made of flour stones, and decorated conch bracelets have been found in the newly excavated pit.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated various development projects in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Accordingly, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone for the Ken-Betwa river linking project, which will connect the two rivers Ken and Betwa in Khajuraho at a cost of Rs. 44,605 crore.
- It is reported that about 44,00,000 people from 10 districts of Madhya Pradesh and about 21,00,000 people from Uttar Pradesh will benefit from this project.
- The Ken-Betwa River Interlinking Project, which is to be implemented at an estimated cost of about Rs. 44,605 crore, will generate 103 MW of hydroelectric power and 27 MW of solar power, and it is reported that 7.18 lakh farming families in 2,000 villages will benefit from this project.
- On this occasion, Union Water Resources Minister C.R. Patil and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav presented water brought from the two rivers Betwa and Ken to Prime Minister Modi. He inaugurated the project by pouring the water on the model of the Ken-Betwa River Interlinking Project.
- Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated the Omkareshwar Floating Solar Project in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh through video conferencing today. Prime Minister Modi also released a commemorative stamp and coin on the birth centenary of late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
