Unsecured farm loan limit increased from Rs 1.60 lakh to Rs 2 lakh - RBI announcement
- In a move to support the agriculture sector and cope with rising input costs, the Reserve Bank of India has announced an increase in the ceiling for unsecured farm loans. The existing loan limit for a borrower of Rs 1.60 lakh has been increased to Rs 2 lakh.
- The decision recognizes the impact of inflation and the rising cost of farm inputs for farmers. It aims to provide improved access to finance to farmers. It ensures that they have sufficient resources to meet their operational and development needs without the burden of providing collateral.
- The impeachment bill against Yeol, who declared martial law, was introduced in the South Korean parliament for the second time. The entire South Korean parliamentarians participated in the vote on the bill.
- The total number of members of the South Korean parliament is 300. A 200-vote majority is sufficient for this bill. However, the bill received 203 votes in the meeting held today. As a result, Yoon Suk-yeol has been dismissed.
- It is noteworthy that Yeol escaped dismissal at that time because members of Yeol's ruling party boycotted the parliamentary meeting during the vote on this bill, which was introduced last week.
