Union Home Ministry's 'Kadhan Padhak' Award 2024
- Since 2018, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs has been awarding titles to the officers who work well in the four divisions of Special Operations, Intelligence, Intelligence and Forensic Science in the Police Department, Central Security Organisations, Central and State Forensic Science and Intelligence Division in various states and Union Territories.
- The Hindu Award is presented to recognize outstanding work, promote high professional standards and encourage morale among the officers concerned. Accordingly, the medal is announced every year on 31st October, which is Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birthday.
- In this situation, this award for the year 2024 has been announced to 463 people from various states including police, Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) and Central Police Organization (CPO) including 8 from Tamil Nadu Police.
- According to the notification published this year, 463 people including 8 members of Tamil Nadu Police have been announced for the year 2024 with the 'Kadhan Padhak' award of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
- District Superintendents of Police in Tamil Nadu Investigation Division, Vandita Pandey, K. Meena, police inspectors M. Ambika, N. Udayakumar, S. Balakrishnan, ACP C. Karthikeyan, C. Nallasivam and Deputy Director of Forensic Science Division Suresh Nandagopal, 8 persons are receiving the 'Measurement Medal' of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
