- In the presence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin on 31.8.2024 in San Francisco, USA, a memorandum of understanding was signed with Omeum Company for setting up a new factory in Chengalpattu district at an estimated cost of Rs. 400 Crores.

- Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit took over as the Commander-in-Chief of the Central Air Force on 1 September 2024. Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit was commissioned into the Fighter Wing of the Indian Air Force on 06 December 1986.
- He is a qualified instructor with more than 3300 hours of flying experience in various aircraft. He is an alumnus of the prestigious National Defense Academy, Defense Services Personnel College (Bangladesh), National Defense College.
Para Olympics 2024 - Rubina Francis wins 5th medal for India
- The Paralympic series has started on the 28th in Paris, the capital of France. These matches will be held for a total of 11 days till September 8. 4,400 sportsmen and women have participated in the Paralympics. 84 players, including 32 women, are participating on behalf of India.
- Meanwhile, Indian athlete Rubina Francis has won a bronze medal in the women's 10m air pistol SH1 event at the Paralympics. This is India's fourth medal in the shooting competition. This is India's fifth overall medal at the Paris Paralympics.
