- Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the country's first Vande Metro train service from Tatanagar in Jharkhand to Ahmedabad in Gujarat - Bhuj route. The 'Ahmedabad – Bhuj Vande Metro' service is a completely non-reserved air-conditioned train.
- He launched six Vande Bharat trains along with the above train projects. They are operated on Tatanagar – Patna, Bhagalpur – Dumka – Howrah, Brahmapur – Tatanagar, Gaya – Howrah, Deohar – Varanasi, Rourkela – Howrah routes.
