Union Home Minister Amit Shah released a commemorative postage stamp on the occasion of Hindi Day
- On 14 September 2024, India celebrates Hindi Day, marking the 75th anniversary of the adoption of Hindi as the central official language. The event, known as the Diamond Jubilee of the Official Language, commemorates the historic decision taken by the Constituent Assembly on 14 September 1949, when Hindi in the Devanagari script was designated as the official language of India.
- The Department of Official Languages under the Ministry of Home Affairs has played a significant role in promoting the use of Hindi in official matters since its establishment in 1975.
- To honor this important milestone, Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah released the commemorative postage stamp on 14 September 2024 at a grand function marking 75 years of Hindi as an official language at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
- India's Ambassador to Brazil Mr. Suresh Reddy and Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Mr. Ramnath Thakur participated in the G20 Agriculture Ministers' meeting to be held in Guaiba, Brazil from September 12 to 14.
- The following aspects were discussed in the meeting which focused on discussions on four key priority areas for global agriculture.
