- Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, while presenting the Interim Budget, had announced that 12 lakh 19 thousand 783 crore rupees will be given as tax distribution to the states in this financial year.
- In this case, the central government has released one lakh 39 thousand 750 crore rupees as tax distribution for the month of June. The central government has allocated maximum Rs 25,069 crore to Uttar Pradesh and Rs 14,056 crore to Bihar.
- While Rs 10,970 crore has been released to Madhya Pradesh and Rs 10,513 crore to West Bengal, the central government has released Rs 5,700 crore to Tamil Nadu. Similarly, the central government has mentioned that Rs 5,655 crore has been distributed to Andhra Pradesh and Rs 4,860 crore to Gujarat.
- In addition to the amount released so far, the Union Finance Ministry has said that it has given Rs 2 lakh 79 thousand 500 crore as tax distribution amount so far this financial year.
