• என்ஆர்ஐ (குடியுரிமை இல்லாத இந்தியர்) தினம் 2025 அல்லது பிரவாசி பாரதிய திவாஸ் 2025 / PRAVASI BHARATIYA DIVAS 2025: 2015 வரை, பிரவாசி பாரதிய திவாஸ் ஆண்டுதோறும் கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. அதன்பிறகு, இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளுக்கு ஒருமுறை தினம் கொண்டாடுவது என முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டது.

• PRAVASI BHARATIYA DIVAS 2025: Till 2015, Pravasi Bharatiya Divas used to be celebrated yearly. Thereafter, it had been decided that the day will be celebrated once in every two years. 
• The 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas was observed from January 8 to 10 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Hence, the celebration of 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas takes place in 2024.

Pravasi Bharatiya Divas History

• PRAVASI BHARATIYA DIVAS 2025: Once in every two years Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is celebrated on January 9. The day is significant because that commemorates Mahatma Gandhi’s arrival to Mumbai from South Africa in 1915. 
• The day has been observed since 2003, and until 2015, it was an annual celebration. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) is a notion introduced in 2009 that permits persons of Indian ancestry and their domestic partners to work and live in India permanently.

Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Significance

• PRAVASI BHARATIYA DIVAS 2025: Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is significant because it not only reunites NRIs with their origins but also recognizes their accomplishments. This very day also recognises the challenges experienced by Indian expatriates working in other countries.
• PBD Conventions aid in the creation of a global network of NRIs and the connection of the youth of today with immigrants, allowing them to flourish and contribute substantially to the nation’s progress.

• PRAVASI BHARATIYA DIVAS 2025: Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2024 Theme is "Contributing to Aatmanirbhar Bharat". Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is a celebration that acknowledges the significant contributions of Indians living abroad to India’s progress. 

Award of Pravasi Bharatiya Samman

• PRAVASI BHARATIYA DIVAS 2025: This award is considered to be real big and a prominent honor which are given to the Indian who are non-resident, institution/establishment founded by any Indians who are non-resident or individual having Indian origin, who have contributed significantly to a better understanding and given a tangible support for India’s causes and worries, community service abroad, the well-being of the native Indian community, humanitarian, and charitable organization.
• And during PBD convention, the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awards is given by the President of India to the individuals who deserve the Indian diaspora.
