• உலக குழந்தைகள் தினம் 2023 / WORLD CHILDREN'S DAY 2023: ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் நவம்பர் 20 ஆம் தேதி உலகளாவிய குழந்தைகள் தினமாக உலகம் முழுவதும் உள்ள நாடுகளால் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. 
• குழந்தைகளின் நலனை மேம்படுத்துவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டது மற்றும் உலகெங்கிலும் உள்ள குழந்தைகளின் உரிமைகளைப் பாதுகாக்க அரசாங்கங்கள் மற்றும் தனிநபர்கள் ஒன்றிணைந்து செயல்பட ஊக்குவிக்கிறது.

• உலக குழந்தைகள் தினம் 2023 / WORLD CHILDREN'S DAY 2023: 14 டிசம்பர் 1954 இன் 836(IX) தீர்மானத்தின் கீழ் ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் பொதுச் சபையால் உலகளாவிய குழந்தைகள் தினம் நிறுவப்பட்டது. 
• உலகில் உள்ள ஒவ்வொரு நாடும் எதிர்கால குழந்தைகளின் அடிப்படை உரிமைகள் மற்றும் நல்வாழ்வை மேம்படுத்துவதற்காக ஒரு நாளைக் கடைப்பிடிக்க வேண்டும் என்று தீர்மானம் பரிந்துரைத்தது. 
• நவம்பர் 20 கண்காணிப்பு நாளாகத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டது மற்றும் முதல் உலகளாவிய குழந்தைகள் தினம் 20 நவம்பர் 1954 அன்று கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. 
• உலகளாவிய குழந்தைகள் தினத்தைத் தவிர, அரசாங்கங்கள் தங்களின் சொந்த குழந்தைகள் தினத்தை அவர்கள் பொருத்தமானதாகக் கருதும் விதத்தில் ஒதுக்கி வைக்க வேண்டும் என்று சட்டமன்றம் பரிந்துரைத்தது.
• 1959 ஆம் ஆண்டு உலகளாவிய குழந்தைகள் தினத்தன்று, ஐநா பொதுச் சபை குழந்தைகளின் உரிமைகள் பிரகடனத்தை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டது, அதே தேதியில் 1989 ஆம் ஆண்டில், குழந்தைகளின் உரிமைகள் தொடர்பான மாநாட்டை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டது.

• WORLD CHILDREN'S DAY 2023: Every year November 20 is celebrated as World Children’s Day by nations all around the world. The day aims to promote children’s welfare and encourages governments and individuals to work together to protect rights of the children worldwide. 
• The day was first introduced in 1954 by the United Nations and has been celebrated with great enthusiasm every year since then. 

World Children’s Day Significance

• WORLD CHILDREN'S DAY 2023: The UN Charter has laid down some crucial ideals and objectives relating to the welfare of the children of the world. World Children’s Day is observed as a day dedicated to promoting these ideals and encouraging people and nations to join hands in the effort. 
• With the joint and continued efforts of government leaders, civil society activists, and individuals, even the children themselves, can bring important change in the world making it a place where every child is able to enjoy their rights. 
• The basic rights of children include the right to be born, to minimum standards of food, shelter, and clothing, to be protected from all sorts of violence, the right to education and learning, to freedom of opinion, and many more.

History of World Children’s Day

• WORLD CHILDREN'S DAY 2023: World Children’s Day was established by the United Nations General Assembly under resolution 836(IX) of 14 December 1954. The resolution recommended that every country in the world observes a day to promote the basic rights and well-being of the children who are the future of tomorrow. 
• November 20 was chosen as the day of observation and the first World Children’s Day was celebrated on 20 November 1954. In addition to the World Children’s Day, the Assembly also suggested that governments set aside their own Children’s Day in the way that they consider appropriate.
• On the occasion of World Children’s Day 1959, the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child and on the same date in 1989, it adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Since 1990 this day also marks the anniversary of the adoption of both the declaration and the convention.
