• 2023-ம் ஆண்டு உடலியல் அல்லது மருத்துவத்திற்கான நோபல் பரிசு / NOBEL PRIZE FOR PHYSIOLOGY OR MEDICINE 2023: 1901 முதல் வழங்கப்பட்டுவரும் நோபல் பரிசானது, இதுவரை உடலியல் அல்லது மருத்துவத்துக்காக 113 முறை வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. அவற்றில் மொத்தம் 12 பெண்களுக்கு நோபல் பரிசு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 
• 32 வயதில் இன்சுலின் கண்டுபிடித்ததற்காக 1923-ம் ஆண்டு மருத்துவப் பரிசைப் பெற்ற ஃபிரடெரிக் ஜி. பான்டிங் தான் இதுவரை நோபல் பரிசு வென்ற இளைய மருத்துவப் பரிசு பெற்றவராவார். நோபல் பரிசு அறிவிப்புகள் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் அக்டோபரில் வழங்கப்படுகிறது.
• கரோலின்ஸ்கா இன்ஸ்டிடியூட்டில் உள்ள 50 பேராசிரியர்களைக் கொண்ட நோபல் குழுவினரால், மருத்துவத்துறையில் உருவாக்கிய பெரிய கண்டுபிடிப்புகளுக்காக மதிப்புமிக்க நோபல் விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது.
• இன்று வழங்கப்பட்ட 2023-ம் ஆண்டு உடலியல் அல்லது மருத்துவத்திற்கான நோபல் பரிசு, கோவிட்-19 தொற்றுக்கு எதிராக பயனுள்ள mRNA தடுப்பூசிகளை உருவாக்க உதவும் நியூக்ளியோசைட் அடிப்படை மாற்றங்கள் தொடர்பான கண்டுபிடிப்புகளுக்காக, கட்டாலின் கரிகோ (Katalin Kariko) மற்றும் ட்ரூ வெய்ஸ்மேன் (Drew Weissman) ஆகிய இரண்டு மருத்துவர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது.
• உலகம் முழுவதும் மனித உயிர்களை கொத்துகொத்தாக பலிகொண்ட கோவிட் தொற்றானது, மருத்துவம் தொழில்நுட்பம் முன்னேறிய நவீன காலத்திலேயே 4 பக்க சுவர்களுக்குள் உலகத்தை முடக்கிப்போட்டது. 
• தன் நாட்டு மக்களின் உயிர்கள் கண்முன்னே பறிபோனதை பார்த்து பல நாட்டு பிரதமர்கள் பொதுவெளியில் கண்ணீர் சிந்தினர். பெற்ற குழந்தைகளைகூட பெற்றோர்களால் தொடமுடியாத நிலைமை ஏற்பட்டது. 
• இறந்த சொந்தங்களை வீட்டுக்கு எடுத்துவர முடியாத அவலநிலை உலகம் முழுவதும் ஏற்பட்டது. இத்தகைய கடினமான சூழலில் கோவிட்-19க்கான தடுப்பூசிகள் என்பது மனித குலத்தையே காக்கும் ஒன்றாகவே எல்லோராலும் பார்க்கப்பட்டது. அப்படி மனித உயிர்களை காப்பதற்காக பாடுபட்ட இரண்டு மருத்துவர்களுக்கு நோபல் பரிசு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• கட்டாலின் கரிகோ (Katalin Kariko) மற்றும் ட்ரூ வெய்ஸ்மேன் (Drew Weissman) ஆகிய இரண்டு மருத்துவர்களையும் புகழ்ந்து பாராட்டிய நோபல் பேரவை, "நமது நோய் எதிர்ப்பு சக்தியுடன் mRNA எவ்வாறு தொடர்பு கொண்டு பெருந்தொற்றுக்கு எதிராக போராடியது என்பதை நாம் எல்லோரும் கண்கூடாக பார்த்தோம். 
• நவீன காலத்தில் மனித ஆரோக்கியத்திற்கு மிகப்பெரிய அச்சுறுத்தலாக உருவான கோவிட்-19ஐ எதிர்கொள்வதற்கான தடுப்பூசி வளர்ச்சியின் முன்னோடியாக பங்களித்ததற்கு இந்த விருது வழங்கப்படுகிறது" என்று நோபல் பேரவை புகழ்ந்து கூறியது.

• 2023-ம் ஆண்டு உடலியல் அல்லது மருத்துவத்திற்கான நோபல் பரிசு / NOBEL PRIZE FOR PHYSIOLOGY OR MEDICINE 2023: Szolnok எனப்படும் இயற்கை அதிசயங்கள் நிறைந்த பெரிய ஹங்கேரிய சமவெளி பகுதியில் 1955-ல் பிறந்த கட்டாலின் கரிகோ, Szeged பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் பேராசிரியராகவும், பென்சில்வேனியா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் Perelman School of Medicine-ல் துணைப் பேராசிரியராகவும் உள்ளார்.

• 2023-ம் ஆண்டு உடலியல் அல்லது மருத்துவத்திற்கான நோபல் பரிசு / NOBEL PRIZE FOR PHYSIOLOGY OR MEDICINE 2023: ட்ரூ வெய்ஸ்மேன் தடுப்பூசி ஆராய்ச்சியில் ராபர்ட்ஸ் குடும்பப் பேராசிரியராகவும், ஆர்என்ஏ கண்டுபிடிப்புகளுக்கான பென் இன்ஸ்டிட்யூட் இயக்குநராகவும் உள்ளார்.
