• ஆற்றல் மாற்றம் குறியீடு 2023 / ENERGY TRANSITION INDEX 2023: ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் உலக பொருளாதார மன்றம் (World Economic Forum) `ஆற்றல் மாற்றம் குறியீட்டை (Energy Transition Index)' வெளியிட்டு வருகிறது. அதன்படி இந்த ஆண்டுக்கான இந்த அறிக்கை வெளியாகி உள்ளது.
• கடந்த 2021 ஆண்டு,115 நாடுகளுக்கு இடையே இந்தியா 87-வது இடத்தை பிடித்திருந்தது. இந்த ஆண்டு, 120 நாடுகளில் இந்தியா 67-வது இடத்திற்கு முன்னேறி உள்ளது. 
• இந்த குறியீட்டில் ஸ்வீடன் முதல் இடத்தையும், டென்மார்க் இரண்டாவது இடத்தையும், நார்வே மூன்றாவது இடத்தையும் பிடித்துள்ளன. இந்த மூன்று நாடுகளும் கடந்த பத்தாண்டுகளாகவே இந்த இடத்தை தக்கவைத்து வருகின்றன என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
• உலக பொருளாதார மன்றத்தின் அறிக்கையின்படி, ஒருபக்கம் இந்தியா பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சியில் முன்னேறிக்கொண்டு சென்றாலும், மறுப்பக்கம் கார்பன் குறைப்பில் தீவிரம் காட்டியுள்ளது. மேலும் அனைவருக்கும் மின்சாரம், புதுபிக்கத்தக்க்க ஆற்றல் ஆகியவையில் நன்றாக செயல்பட்டு வருகிறது.
• பெரிய பொருளாதார நாடுகளில் இந்தியா மற்றும் சிங்கப்பூர் (70-வது இடம்) ஆற்றல் மாற்றத்தில் நிலைத்தன்மையுடனும், ஆற்றல் பாதுகாப்பிலும் முன்னேறி வருகிறது என்று இந்த அறிக்கை கூறுகிறது. 
• மேலும் 55 நாடுகளில் இந்தியா, சீனா மற்றும் இந்தோனேசியா கடந்த பத்தாண்டுகளில் ஆற்றல் மாற்றம் குறியீட்டில் 10 சதவீத புள்ளிக்கும் மேல் பெற்று வருகிறது.
• 2015-ம் ஆண்டு பாரிஸ் ஒப்பந்தத்தில் வகுக்கப்பட்டுள்ள இலக்கை எட்ட தற்போது உலக நாடுகள் ஆற்றல் மாற்றத்தில் காட்டும் வேகம் பத்தாது என்று உலக பொருளாதார மன்ற அறிக்கை கூறுகிறது.

• ENERGY TRANSITION INDEX 2023: Every year the World Economic Forum publishes the 'Energy Transition Index'. Accordingly, this year's report has been published.
• In 2021, India was ranked 87th among 115 countries. This year, India has moved up to 67th position out of 120 countries. Sweden ranks first, Denmark ranks second and Norway ranks third in this index. It is noteworthy that these three countries have maintained this position for the past decade.
• According to the report of the World Economic Forum, while India is progressing in economic growth, on the other hand, it has shown seriousness in carbon reduction. And electricity for all, renewable energy is doing well.
• Among major economies, India and Singapore (ranked 70th) are making strides in energy transition sustainability and energy security, the report says. And among 55 countries, India, China and Indonesia have gained more than 10 percentage points in the energy transition index over the past decade.
• According to the World Economic Forum report, the speed of the world's energy transition is not enough to reach the target set in the Paris Agreement in 2015.
