First Medical Tourism Conference in Tamil Nadu - Chief Minister Stalin inaugurated
- On behalf of the Department of Tourism, Medical and Public Welfare of the Government of Tamil Nadu, for the first time to promote medical and health tourism, "Tamil Nadu Medical Tourism Conference'' is being held at ITC Hotel, Chennai for 2 days.
- Chief Minister MK Stalin, who inaugurated the conference yesterday, also released a book on hospitals accredited by the National Hospitals and Medical Services Accreditation Board. Earlier, he inaugurated and visited the halls set up on behalf of various hospitals.
- In the Tourism Department Human Demand for the year 2023-24, 'Multi-Purpose and Special Multi-Purpose Hospitals in Tamil Nadu are conducive to the development of medical tourism in Tamil Nadu.
- Therefore, it was announced that an International Medical Tourism Conference will be held in Chennai in association with medical industry entrepreneurs. Accordingly, this 2-day medical tourism conference is held.
- More than 75 delegates from 21 countries including Bangladesh, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Maldives, Vietnam and African countries participated in the event.
- Similarly, 350 people including renowned doctors, foreign embassies, tour operators, hotel managers, insurance company representatives, Siddha, Yoga, Ayush doctors, doctors from health tourism hospitals participated in 120 private hospitals in Tamil Nadu. In this, programs including discussion are held.
- Countries including NASA have jointly established the International Space Station in space for space research. Six soldiers including Sultan Al Neyadi from the United Arab Emirates, also known as UAE, were sent there on March 9 at 120 degrees Celsius.
- After completing his two-month journey in space, Sultan Al Neyadi is engaged in various tasks at the International Space Center. In this case, he went outside the center and carried out some maintenance work. He was joined by NASA engineer Stephen Bowen. Through this, Sultan has got the honor of being the first UAI soldier to walk in space.
