- 2022 - 2023ஆம் நிதியாண்டில் சட்டமன்ற பேரவையின் மானியக் கோரிக்கையின் போது, கலை பண்பாட்டுத்துறை தொடர்பாக தமிழகத்தின் பாரம்பரிய நாட்டுப்புறக் கலைஞர்கள் பங்குபெறும் பிரம்மாண்ட கலைவிழாவினை தமிழர் திருநாளான பொங்கல் பண்டிகையினையொட்டி சென்னையிலும், தமிழகத்தின் பல்வேறு பகுதிகளிலும் நடத்த அறிவிப்பு வெளியிடப்பட்டது.
- நாட்டுப்புறக் கலை வடிவங்களை பொதுமக்களிடையேயும், உலகத் தமிழர்களிடையேயும் கொண்டு செல்லும் நோக்கிலும், இன்றைய இளம் தலைமுறையினர் நாட்டுப்புறக் கலை வடிவங்களின் சிறப்பினை அறிந்து கொள்ளும் வகையிலும், நாட்டுப்புறக் கலைக்கு மிகப்பெரிய அங்கீகாரம் அளிக்கும் வகையில், சென்னையில் 'நம்ம ஊரு திருவிழா' என்ற பெயரில் பல்வேறு நாட்டுப்புறக் கலைகள் இடம்பெறும் பிரமாண்ட கலை விழாக்கள் தமிழக அரசின் கலை பண்பாட்டுத்துறையால் நடத்தப்படவுள்ளது.
- During the financial year 2022-2023, during the request for grant by the Legislative Assembly, an announcement was made to hold a grand festival in Chennai and various parts of Tamil Nadu on the occasion of Pongal, the Tamil festival, with the participation of the traditional folk artists of Tamil Nadu in connection with the arts and culture department.
- With the aim of bringing the folk art forms to the public and among the Tamils of the world, so that today's young generation gets to know the excellence of the folk art forms, and in order to give the greatest recognition to the folk art, a grand art festival featuring various folk arts will be held in Chennai under the name of 'Namma Ooru Festival' by the Arts and Culture Department of the Tamil Nadu Government.
