- ஜீவன் பிரமான் ஓய்வூதியம் பெறுபவர்களுக்கான பயோமெட்ரிக் இயக்கப்பட்ட டிஜிட்டல் சேவையாகும். மத்திய அரசு, மாநில அரசு அல்லது வேறு எந்த அரசு நிறுவனங்களின் ஓய்வூதியம் பெறுவோர் இந்த வசதியைப் பயன்படுத்திக் கொள்ளலாம்.
- இத்திட்டம் நவம்பர் 10, 2014 அன்று தொடங்கப்பட்டது. இத்திட்டத்தின் பயனாளிகள் ஐந்து கோடிக்கும் அதிகமான அரசு மற்றும் பொதுத்துறை நிறுவனங்களில் பணிபுரிந்து ஓய்வு பெற்ற ஊழியர்கள்.
- ஓய்வூதியம் பெறுவோர் பணியில் இருந்து ஓய்வு பெற்ற பிறகு, வங்கிகள், தபால் அலுவலகங்கள் போன்ற அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட ஓய்வூதியம் வழங்கும் நிறுவனங்களுக்கு வாழ்க்கைச் சான்றிதழை வழங்குவதும், அதைத் தொடர்ந்து அவர்களின் ஓய்வூதியம் அவர்களின் கணக்கில் வரவு வைக்கப்படுவதும் முக்கியத் தேவைகளில் ஒன்றாகும்.
- இந்த வாழ்க்கைச் சான்றிதழைப் பெற, ஓய்வூதியம் பெறும் தனிநபர், ஓய்வூதியம் வழங்கும் முகமையிடம் நேரில் ஆஜராக வேண்டும் அல்லது அவர்கள் முன்பு பணியாற்றிய அதிகாரியால் வழங்கப்பட்ட ஆயுள் சான்றிதழைப் பெற்று, அதை வழங்கும் நிறுவனத்திற்கு வழங்க வேண்டும்.
- ஜீவன் பிரமானைப் பயன்படுத்தி, ஓய்வூதியம் பெறுபவர் தனது இருப்புக்கான ஆதாரத்தை டிஜிட்டல் முறையில் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஓய்வூதியம் தொடர்வதற்காக அதிகாரிகளுக்கு வழங்கலாம்,
- அதற்குப் பதிலாக குறிப்பிட்ட அதிகாரிகளால் வழங்கப்பட்ட ஆயுள் சான்றிதழின் மூலம் தன்னை உடல் ரீதியாகவோ அல்லது வாழ்க்கைச் சான்றிதழின் மூலமாகவோ ஆஜராக வேண்டும்.
- டிஜிட்டல் லைஃப் சான்றிதழ் வசதி மறுமணம் செய்துகொண்ட அல்லது மீண்டும் பணியமர்த்தப்பட்ட ஓய்வூதியதாரர்களுக்குக் கிடைக்காது. அவர்கள் தங்கள் ஓய்வூதியம் வழங்கும் ஆணையத்திடம் வழக்கமான வாழ்க்கைச் சான்றிதழைச் சமர்ப்பிக்க வேண்டும்.
- Pramaan is a biometric enabled digital service for pensioners. Pensioners of Central Government, State Government or any other Government organization can take benefit of this facility. The scheme was launched on November 10, 2014. The beneficiaries of the scheme are over five crore retired employees of government and PSUs.
- One of the major requisite for the pensioners post their retirement from service, is to provide life certificates to the authorized pension disbursing agencies like Banks, Post offices etc., following which their pension is credited to their account.
- In order to get this life certificate the individual drawing the pension is required to either personally present oneself before the Pension Disbursing Agency or have the Life Certificate issued by authority where they have served earlier and have it delivered to the disbursing agency.
- Using Jeevan Pramaan, a pensioner can now digitally provide proof of his/her existence to authorities for continuity of pension every year instead of requiring to present himself/herself physically or through a Life Certificate issued by specified authorities.
- The Digital Life Certificate facility is not available to Remarried or Re-employed Pensioners. They are required to submit the Life Certificate the conventional way to their Pension Disbursing Authority.
