• புத்துணர்ச்சி மற்றும் நகர்ப்புற மாற்றத்திற்கான அடல் மிஷன் (AMRUT), 500 நகரங்களில் உள்ள குடிமக்கள் குழாய் இணைப்புகள் மற்றும் கழிவுநீர் இணைப்புகளை வழங்குவதன் மூலம் குடிமக்கள் எளிதாக வாழ வசதியாக ஜூன் 2015 இல் தேசிய நீர் இயக்கம் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.

நோக்கம்

• ஒவ்வொரு வீட்டிற்கும் ஒரு குழாயின் அணுகல் இருப்பதை உறுதிசெய்து, உறுதியான நீர் விநியோகம் மற்றும் கழிவுநீர் இணைப்பு.
• பசுமை மற்றும் நன்கு பராமரிக்கப்படும் திறந்தவெளிகளை (எ.கா. பூங்காக்கள்) மேம்படுத்துவதன் மூலம் நகரங்களின் வசதி மதிப்பை அதிகரிக்கவும்
• பொதுப் போக்குவரத்திற்கு மாறுவதன் மூலம் மாசுபாட்டைக் குறைக்கவும் அல்லது மோட்டார் அல்லாத போக்குவரத்து வசதிகளை உருவாக்கவும் (எ.கா. நடைபயிற்சி மற்றும் சைக்கிள் ஓட்டுதல்). இந்த முடிவுகள் அனைத்தும் குடிமக்களால், குறிப்பாக பெண்களால் மதிப்பிடப்படுகின்றன, மேலும் குறிகாட்டிகள் மற்றும் தரநிலைகள் வீட்டுவசதி மற்றும் நகர்ப்புற விவகார அமைச்சகத்தால் (MoHUA) சேவை நிலை அளவுகோல்கள் (SLBs) வடிவில் பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

கவரேஜ்

• அம்ருட்டின் கீழ் ஐநூறு நகரங்கள் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. அம்ருட்டின் கீழ் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட நகரங்களின் வகை கீழே கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது:
• 2011 மக்கள்தொகை கணக்கெடுப்பின்படி அறிவிக்கப்பட்ட நகராட்சிகளுடன் ஒரு லட்சத்திற்கும் அதிகமான மக்கள்தொகை கொண்ட அனைத்து நகரங்கள் மற்றும் நகரங்கள், கண்டோன்மென்ட் வாரியங்கள் (பொதுமக்கள் பகுதிகள்) உட்பட,
• அனைத்து தலைநகரங்கள்/மாநிலங்களின் நகரங்கள்/யூனியன் பிரதேசங்கள், மேலே குறிப்பிடப்படவில்லை,
• HRIDAY திட்டத்தின் கீழ் MoHUA ஆல் பாரம்பரிய நகரங்களாக வகைப்படுத்தப்பட்ட அனைத்து நகரங்களும்/நகரங்களும்,
• 75,000 க்கும் அதிகமான மக்கள்தொகை மற்றும் 1 லட்சத்திற்கும் குறைவான மக்கள்தொகை கொண்ட முக்கிய நதிகளின் தண்டுகளில் பதின்மூன்று நகரங்கள் மற்றும் நகரங்கள், மற்றும்
• மலை மாநிலங்கள், தீவுகள் மற்றும் சுற்றுலா தலங்களில் இருந்து பத்து நகரங்கள் (ஒவ்வொரு மாநிலத்திலிருந்தும் ஒன்றுக்கு மேல் இல்லை).

அம்ருத் 2.0

• 2025-26 வரையிலான புத்துணர்ச்சி மற்றும் நகர்ப்புற மாற்றத்திற்கான அடல் மிஷன் 2.0 (AMRUT 2.0) 2021 அக்டோபரில் ஆத்மநிர்பர் பாரத் நோக்கில் ஒரு படியாகவும், நகரங்களை 'தண்ணீர் பாதுகாப்பானது' மற்றும் 'சுய-நிலையானதாக' மாற்றும் நோக்கத்துடன் சுற்றறிக்கை மூலம் அமைச்சரவையால் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்டது. நீர் பொருளாதாரம்.
• AMRUT, AMRUT 2.0 இன் கீழ் செய்யப்பட்ட குறிப்பிடத்தக்க முன்னேற்றங்களை முன்னெடுத்துச் செல்வது, அனைத்து 4,378 சட்டப்பூர்வ நகரங்களிலும் வீட்டுக் குழாய் இணைப்புகளை வழங்குவதன் மூலம் உலகளாவிய நீர் விநியோகத்தை இலக்காகக் கொண்டுள்ளது. 
• 500 AMRUT நகரங்களில் 100% வீட்டுக் கழிவுநீர் / கழிவுநீர் மேலாண்மை மற்ற நோக்கமாகும். 2.68 கோடி குழாய் இணைப்புகளையும், 2.64 கோடி கழிவுநீர்/செப்டேஜ் இணைப்புகளையும் வழங்க இலக்கு நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• 2021-22 நிதியாண்டு முதல் 2025-26 நிதியாண்டு வரையிலான ஐந்து ஆண்டுகளுக்கான மத்தியப் பங்கான ரூ. 76,760 கோடி உட்பட, அம்ருட் 2.0க்கான மொத்தச் செலவு ரூ.2,77,000 கோடியாகும்.

ENGLISH

• Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), first focused national water Mission was launched in June 2015 to facilitate ease of living to citizens in 500 cities by providing tap connections and sewer connections.

Purpose

• Ensure that every household has access to a tap with the assured supply of water and a sewerage connection.
• Increase the amenity value of cities by developing greenery and well maintained open spaces (e.g. parks) and
• Reduce pollution by switching to public transport or constructing facilities for non-motorized transport (e.g. walking and cycling). All these outcomes are valued by citizens, particularly women, and indicators and standards have been prescribed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA ) in the form of Service Level Benchmarks (SLBs).

Coverage

• Five hundred cities have been selected under AMRUT. The category of cities that have been selected under AMRUT is given below:
• All Cities and Towns with a population of over one lakh with notified Municipalities as per Census 2011, including Cantonment Boards (Civilian areas),
• All Capital Cities/Towns of States/ UTs, not covered in above ,
• All  Cities/  Towns  classified  as  Heritage  Cities  by  MoHUA  under  the  HRIDAY Scheme,
• Thirteen Cities and Towns on the stem of the main rivers with a population above 75,000 and less than 1 lakh, and
• Ten Cities from hill states, islands and tourist destinations (not more than one from each State).

AMRUT 2.0

• The Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0 (AMRUT 2.0) upto 2025-26 was approved by the Cabinet during October 2021 as a step towards AatmaNirbhar Bharat and with aim of making the cities ‘water secure’ and ‘self-sustainable’ through circular economy of water.
• Taking forward the remarkable strides made under AMRUT, AMRUT 2.0, targets universal coverage of water supply by providing household tap connections in all 4,378 statutory towns. 100% coverage of household sewerage/ septage management in 500 AMRUT cities is other objective. Mission targets to provide 2.68 crore tap connections and 2.64 crore sewer/ septage connections to achieve the intended outcomes.
• Total indicative outlay for AMRUT 2.0 is Rs 2,77,000 crore including central share of Rs 76,760 crore for five years from FY 2021-22 to FY 2025-26.
